Thoughtful Thursday Check in

It’s January.  It’s cold (most places) and it’s amidst a global pandemic.  How are you doing mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually? 

I wanted to check in and send a few rays of sunshine your way! 

It’s not always easy to ask for help or to see the gratitude when life has dealt a hard hand or you’re just having a bad day. 

However, giving yourself some space in your day to “just be” can put things into perspective and allow you to process what it is you truly need.

Here are a few rays of sunshine to brighten your mood, your day, and your overall wellbeing…

  1.  Take a 5-minute break every hour and get out of your chair, unplug, and check in with yourself.  How are you feeling?  What do you need?  Listen to a 5 minute meditation, or stretch, walk, grab some water, and reset.
  2. Get outside!  Even if it’s freezing!  Bundle up and take a stroll or jog around the block!  You will grab some warm rays, some healthy Vitamin D and a renewed surge of energy!
  3. Ask for help!  If you are feeling sad, upset, burned out or overwhelmed get support from a family member, a friend or a professional. You are NOT alone ! (You can contact me here.)

Bottom line:  Times are wonky right now and it’s more important than ever to take care of yourself mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  Take the time to slow down, check in with yourself, and just be.
